Recognizing that climate change presents new challenges and the need to prepare and adapt, the Village is developing a Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Plan to be completed during 2025. 

The Vulnerability Assessment will identify Nyack’s community’s assets - its people, infrastructure, ecosystems, economy, and services - and the potential impacts to these assets caused by hazards that are of increasing concern due to climate change.

The Adaptation Plan will present strategies and methods for the community to adapt to these increased hazards and become more resilient.
