Metered Parking Waiver for Severely Disabled Drivers

Beginning January 14, 2008, a metered parking waiver is available to certain severely disabled drivers. This waiver allows the holder to park in a metered parking space without the need to put payment into the meter.

Eligibility:

The waiver will only be issued to individuals whose severe disability makes it extremely difficult to physically insert payment into a parking meter.

Requirements:

The eligibility and usage requirements are established under New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law Section 1203-h.
