 Pascale Jean-Gilles was born and raised in Nyack and graduated from Nyack High School. She has a B.A. in Legal Studies from Mercy College and a J.D. from Western New England University School of Law, where she served as the President of the Black Law Students Association and has a certification from the NYS Institute for Mediation and Conflict Resolution. Pascale began her career as a Law Clerk for New Jersey Superior Court Judge Mark Sandson, Drug Court in Atlantic City and served as Communications Director for former State Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee.
Pascale was the Outreach Director and Policy Advisor for former State Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick. Pascale currently serves as the Legislative Director and Chief of Staff for Assemblywoman MaryJane Shimsky.
Joe Carlin

Joe Carlin has been a Nyack resident for 17 years. During that time, he has been very active in Village affairs. He has advocated for various local and neighborhood issues and initiatives and has served on several Village of Nyack committees including the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program and Waterfront Committees, The Community Development Block Grant Citizens Committee, and the Marina Committee.

In his early years, Joe served in the military, and afterwards was a farm (kibbutz) manager. He has studied Agricultural Economics as well as accounting.

Currently, Joe owns and runs a company (established in 1997) distributing Scientific Instrumentation throughout North America. Joe is married to Robin Sheppard and has 4 children and 5 grandchildren.
