New Leaf Blower Law set to take effect! Hello Nyack Pollinator Pathway Supporters! Happy Spring! The Pollinator volunteers will be adding several more "stops along the Pathway” this spring and could use your help! Please reach out to nyackpollinatorpathway@gmail.com - or just show up - if you might be able to join us on either (or both) of the following Volunteer Planting Days:
Sunday April 30th, 10am-1pm, Nyack Community Garden, corner of S. Franklin St. and Depew Ave., Nyack We are doubling the size of the existing pollinator garden to the opposite side of the entrance to the Community Garden and we need help removing the turf grass and prepping the bed where the new plants will go. This will take some elbow grease so we are looking for strong volunteers unafraid of getting their hands dirty! All we need are a handful of hard workers and this project won’t take long, so please bring your pick axes and shovels (and brawny husbands, friends, family members, etc.!) and come join us for any length of time. We’d so appreciate your help!
Saturday May 13th, 10am-1pm, Nyack Plaza Apartments, Depew Ave. between S. Franklin St. and Liberty St., Nyack We are installing two pollinator gardens at the Nyack Plaza, one in front of the Senior Building and the other across the street next door to the Head Start building. We’ll be planting perennials and a few shrubs and we simply need help getting all of the plants in the ground. Please bring your shovels, trowels, gardening gloves and watering cans and come join us for any length of time. These gardens are going to be beautiful so come be a part of adding the Nyack Plaza to the Pathway! Road Paving Plan 2023 The Village is pleased to announce that we have signed a contract with Tilcon NY to repave the following list of roads in 2023. We anticipated that paving will take place over the summer months, however, the scheduling is handled by Tilcon. More details will be posted on the website when available.
