Holiday Schedule

Village Hall and the Department of Public Works will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2023 in observance of Memorial Day. Trash will be collected on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

Parking fees are waived for the holiday, all other parking regulations remain in effect.

Nyack's New Leaf Blower Law!

After the Village passed the law, 350 landscapers operating in Rockland County were notified. Gasoline-powered leaf blowers are currently banned for use in the Village of Nyack.

Electric leaf blowers may be used from 8:00am until 7:00pm on Monday through Friday; 9:00am until 5:00pm on Saturdays; and 12 noon until 5:00 pm on Sundays and legal holidays. To aid the education effort, please email a photo of offending landscapers truck with company name visible and provide the address where work was taking place to Nyack Village administrator@nyack-ny.gov or text same to 845-401-1636. The Village Administrator will reach out to property owners and landscapers and refer incidents to the Building Department for follow-up. Incidents witnessed by an employee of the Building Department will result in a warning and stop work order, followed by summons for repeat offenders.

The use of gasoline-powered leaf blowers shall be prohibited at all times after January 1, 2024. For more information click here!
