Dear Residents and Visitors to Nyack,
We want to inform you about an upcoming sidewalk improvement project taking place on Broadway in downtown Nyack. The project will start on the east side of Broadway, starting in the vicinity of 85 S. Broadway. At that location, a section of the sidewalk "buffer" between the walking surface and the curb will be removed and repoured. The sidewalk will remain open during this work which is expected to last 3 days. Work continues on Broadway for the following two weeks as planned:
Project Details:
1. 85 S. Broadway (area by curb, sidewalk stays open throughout construction – planned start: May 15).
2. First Avenue and N. Broadway, northeast corner only (sidewalk closed for replacement – planned start estimated May 22).
3. Broadway between Burd Street and Remsen Avenue (east side) (sidewalk closed for replacement – planned start late May).
During this time, there may be temporary disruptions to pedestrian traffic and parking along this section of Broadway. Please plan your travel routes accordingly and consider alternative paths if necessary. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to improve the sidewalks for the safety and convenience of all residents and visitors.
