FOOD SCRAP RECYCLING PROGRAM
How to Food Scrap Recycle in Nyack. It’s SO easy:

1. COLLECT your food scraps in a small bin stored on the countertop or under the sink. Line your bin with Rockland Green’s compostable brown bags, available at Nyack Village Hall.
2. TRANSFER the bagged food scraps from the small bin into the large white or green bin to store until you’re ready to drop them off.
3. DROP OFF your bagged food scraps in the large bin at Nyack's Food Scrap Drop-off Site. It is located at 63 Catherine Street, Nyack, NY.

PERMIT FEE WAIVER FOR HEAT PUMPS IN NYACK

Now’s a great time to consider a heat pump installation for heating & cooling or hot water.
To complement a host of state and federal incentives, the Village of Nyack will waive the permit fees for heat pump projects.

The Village is using a Clean Energy Communities grant to offset the permit fees on a first come, first served basis while grant proceeds last. Learn more about heat pumps at
nyack2030.com/clean-heat.

SAVE ENERGY AND MONEY DURING HEAT WAVES

Orange & Rockland offers a program to reduce electrical usage during peak demand. This demand response prevents the use of peaker plants, notorious for high emissions and high costs, from coming online.

Participants receive a financial incentive to reduce their electric usage through Meltek
