South Broadway will be closed this evening, between Hudson Ave and Cedar Hill Ave. Franklin Ave between Main Street and Burd Street will be closed from 10am to 7 PM tomorrow.

On October 20, 1981, our community faced an unimaginable tragedy with the Brink's Robbery, which deeply shook Rockland County and forever altered our village. We lost two courageous heroes, Nyack Police Sgt. Edward O'Grady and Officer Waverly Brown, along with Brink's security guard Peter Paige, all killed in the line of duty by a violent act of terror.
On Sunday, October 20, 2024, 43 years later, we stand together to remember their bravery and honor their ultimate sacrifice. We invite the public to join us for a Memorial Service at the entrance to the NYS Thruway on Mountainview Ave at 4 PM.
Please be aware that traffic delays and road closures will be in effect during this time. Together, let us pay tribute to these fallen heroes. We will never forget.
