Water Main Project in Nyack - UPDATED SCHEDULE!!

Dear Nyack Residents,

Please be advised of the following construction updates and changes to service areas in Nyack.

Project Details: First Avenue

• Location: First Ave, from N Franklin to N Broadway, starting on the section between Broadway and Marion, and moving west to N Franklin.
• Start Date: Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 8 AM
• Expected Completion Date: Monday, December 23, 2024 (No work on 12/25/24 - 1/5/25)
• Work Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM
• Parking Signs will be Posted - Parking Restrictions change daily.

Project Details: Francis Avenue (5th Ave to 6th Ave)

• Location: Francis Ave between 5th Ave and 6th Ave
• Start Date: Friday, December 20, 2024
• Expected Completion Date: Monday, December 23, 2024 (No work on 12/25/24 - 1/5/25)
• Work Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM
• Parking on the west side of the street will be prohibited during construction hours, but allowed at night (alternate side parking rules still apply).

Water Service Interruptions

During the course of this project, residents may experience construction-related noise and temporary disruptions in water service. Please note the following planned water outages:

• Friday, 12/20/24: Water outage from 7 AM to 9 AM affecting service lines on Francis Ave.

We will make every effort to minimize any inconvenience and ensure that the work is completed as efficiently and safely as possible.

Parking Restrictions

• Please follow the detours in the construction zone, and note that access to driveways will be maintained.

What You Need to Know

• If your water service is temporarily interrupted, we will provide updates and notifications to keep you informed.
• There may be a brief period of discolored water as new connections are made. This is harmless and can be resolved by running your tap for a few minutes.
