Annual Reorganization Meeting of the Board of Trustees

Date: Monday, January 6th, 2025
Time: 7:30 PM

The Annual Meeting of the BOT will be held on Monday, January 6th, at 7:30 PM. During this meeting, the BOT will make official appointments to various land use boards and staff roles and responsibilities.

The meeting may also include a limited session of general village business. All residents are encouraged to attend.

Memorial Service for Chief Taylor

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Miles E. Taylor, a devoted husband, father, and community leader. Miles was a lifelong member of the Nyack Fire Department, serving as Chief, and a passionate coach for Nyack's track and cross-country teams for 26 years, earning a spot in the Nyack Hall of Fame. His contributions to the community, along with his commitment to his family and his work as a video engineer for major networks, have left an enduring legacy.

Date: Friday, January 3rd, 2025 (5:00 - 7:00 PM) Hanneman's Funeral Home, Cedar Hill Ave, Nyack, New York.
Funeral Procession: Saturday, January 4th, 2025

Chief Taylor will be memorialized with a service on Friday, January 3rd, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Hanneman's Funeral Home. Please note that parking will be restricted on Cedar Hill Ave between S Broadway and Depot Place during this time. On Saturday, January 4th, there will be a funeral procession traveling west on Main Street to Oak Hill Cemetery. We kindly ask for your patience and cooperation during these events as we honor Chief Taylor.

Water Main Work - Frances Ave

Start Date: Monday, January 6th, 2025

Water main work on Frances Ave will resume on Monday, January 6th. Please note that parking will be prohibited in the area until the work is completed.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as this important project continues.

Water Main Work - First Ave

Start Date: Tuesday, January 7th, 2025

Starting Tuesday, January 7th, water main work will begin on First Ave, between Marion and Jefferson Streets, and will proceed towards N Franklin Street.

Expect minor disruptions, and please plan accordingly.

Gas Main Work - Summit St

Start Date: Wednesday, January 8th, 2025

Gas main work will begin on Summit Street, between Depew and Main Street, on Wednesday, January 8th. O&R will be reaching out directly to all affected residents.

Please be aware of potential traffic delays and changes.
