Mayor's Message:

Tomorrow, we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. – a legacy that remains under threat from those seeking to undo decades of progress. To truly honor Dr. King’s vision, we must commit to continuing his fight for equality and justice for all, despite the setbacks we may face along the way. As Dr. King reminded us, we “must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”

If you’re looking for a meaningful way to commemorate his legacy, the NAACP is hosting its 41st Annual Interfaith Commemorative Service on Monday, January 20 at 2:00 PM at Pilgrim Baptist Church, located at 80 North Franklin Street. The service will feature guest speaker Rev. Dr. Tyree Anderson from Birmingham, Alabama.
