Mayor's Message:

I want to thank all the folks at our Department of Public Works for their quick response to the snow we had this past week. Also, I’m grateful to all the residents who helped us out by following the Snow Emergency no parking rules to facilitate emergency response and efficient plowing.

This week, the Village Board will be meeting Thursday night. At 6:30PM we will have a Work Session which is a more informal discussion and informational session about a topic, including public comment and engagement. This workshop will be about parking issues in the North Midland neighborhood near the hospital, and especially whether the residents want us to pursue some sort of permit parking system.

At our usual 7:30 public meeting, we will be giving out honorary certificates and awards to all the winners of the Downtown and Home Decorating contests in December, and then a set of action items. We have several opportunities for public comment during the meeting.

4. Water Main Project - Construction continues on Marion Street (between Third Ave and First Ave) next week, weather permitting. Work on lateral connections on Central Ave is planned as well. Get all the details on the Water Main Project here.
