An Important Vote for Our Community:
Nyack School Budget Vote & School Board Election Due to difficulties experienced by the company responsible for the printing and mailing of our ballots and envelopes, there was a delay in the mailing of the Nyack Public School District absentee ballots. The absentee ballots were mailed this morning, June 1, 2020, meeting the legal deadline to mail ballots but certainly later than we anticipated. School districts throughout the state have been having similar delays due to supply shortages. While a postage paid return envelope is included in the mailing, we have made arrangements to allow for the secure physical drop-off of ballots near the front door at the Nyack Schools Administration Building, 13A Dickinson Avenue, Nyack to adhere with the statewide deadline of 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9. Residents should have received, or will receive shortly, the budget newsletter, which outlines details of the proposed budget as well as the budget notice. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Please contact the District Clerk by emailing LDeCicco@nyackschools.org with questions or concerns relating to the Budget Vote or School Board Election. |
